Clifford Eugene Jenkins, 68, of Springdale passed away Monday, January 3, 2022 surrounded by family. He was born in McKinney, Texas May 19, 1953 to Billy Ray Jenkins and Evelyn Louise Myers Jenkins. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Judy Jenkins Kunclrs.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Carol Chancellor Jenkins; son Joshua Jenkins of Norfolk, VA, daughter Melody Jenkins Harris and husband Shane Harris of Springdale; daughter Leslie Jenkins Riggs and husband Michael Riggs of Rockwall, TX; sisters Cathie Jenkins Rumsey, Gail Jenkins Ratliff, and Tammy Jenkins Keenan and husband Leon Keenan; grandchildren Benson Riggs, Sam Harris, Avery Riggs, Annie Harris, Cora Harris, and several nieces and nephews.
Cliff was a pastor, dreamer, life-long learner, teacher, father, husband, brother, uncle, pop pop, and friend. His life’s work was serving God and helping others in their walk with God and their ministry. He could make you smile or laugh with one glance. He put God, family, and beloved church New Hope Fellowship first in his life. He was the founding pastor of New Hope Fellowship Church. He was a jack of all trades and took much pride in winning family games of checkers, monopoly, as well as other trivia games. If you ever saw him at Harps or the post office, he probably talked to you about life and other sundry topics for an hour. He approached life with curiosity and humor and always took time to think, dream, and plan.
